New Live Album Highlights The Legendary Band's 50th Anniversary Tour, Which Featured Founding Member Tony Kaye On All Shows, And Patrick Moraz In Philadelphia, Where 10 Current And Former Members Were On Stage Together For The Encore Performance Of "Starship Trooper" Yes celebrated the band's 50th anniversary over the last year with an extensive tour that included shows in Europe, North America and Japan. This year, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are back with a new double live album that was recorded during the group's anniversary tour. YES 50 LIVE will be available from Rhino on August 2 as two CDs , or four LPs. The cover of YES 50 LIVE was painted by Roger Dean, whose artwork and trademark calligraphy are synonymous with the band's identity. The CD and vinyl versions both come with an eight-page booklet that includes photographs from the tour taken by the Gottlieb Brothers. YES 50 LIVE features 13 live performances of key songs that helped make Yes the most enduring, ambitious, and virtuosic progressive band in rock history. What makes this collection even more extraordinary is the number of band members who are featured. In fact, much of the album was recorded in Philadelphia, a show where 10 members of Yes were on stage during the encore (current members) Steve Howe, Geoff Downes, Alan White, Billy Sherwood and Jon Davison, Jay Schellen, plus (former members) Tony Kaye, Patrick Moraz, Tom Brislin and Trevor Horn. Patrick Moraz is featured on "Soon" and Tony Kaye is featured on "Yours Is No Disgrace," "Roundabout," and "Starship Trooper." The live performances on YES 50 LIVE seamlessly weave together several eras from the band's past with songs from 10 different studio albums recorded between 1970 and 2011. Naturally, the collection highlights some of the group's most important music, including "Starship Trooper," from The Yes Album (1971), "Roundabout" from Fragile (1971) and the title track from Close to the Edge (1972). But the new live album also highlights some of Yes' most adventurous work with an excerpt from "The Ancient," a track that appeared on 1973's Tales From Topographic Oceans, and "Soon," which is the final section in "The Gates Of Delirium" from 1974's Relayer. 1. Charged Particles 2. Trance Dance 3. CTA 4. Jocelyn - The Commander 5. Banda candiense en la linea de Steely Dan The world has changed a lot since 1992, when Don Breithaupt first collected an album's worth of his irresistibly hooky and jazzy pop songs and formed Monkey House. Since then, the talented and prolific Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, composer, arranger, and producer has stamped the band's Kurt Vonnegut-inspired moniker on five albums of original material, including Headquarters (2012), Left (2016) and Friday (2019), the latter a blazing tour de force which topped the iTunes jazz chart and went to #11 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Albums chart. Now, to mark their thirtieth anniversary, Monkey House presents their most accomplished and exciting set yet, Remember The Audio, on which Breithaupt is joined by his A-List wrecking crew of Mark Kelso on drums, Pat Kilbride on bass, Justin Abedin on guitar, and guests including trumpeters Randy Brecker, Guido Basso and Michael Leonhart, guitarist Drew Zingg, and singers Lucy Woodward and David Blamires. After years of fluid lineups, Breithaupt says he had an epiphany back in 2011 while rounding up the usual suspects to make Headquarters: "Hey, wouldn't it be nice if this coalesced into a steady band?" Breithaupt got more than just a band: Monkey House is a crack team of virtuosos playing in sync and in service to his instantly hummable songs. Like the last three Monkey House albums, Remember The Audio was produced by Peter Cardinali and Breithaupt. Breithaupt had already written most of the music on Remember The Audio pre-COVID, but he figures "at least half of the lyrics were written in the spring of 2020, after the world shut down." That's why the only cover on the album, Mose Allison's 'Ever Since The World Ended' fit right in. I thought it would be a good coda for the album because it's fatalistic, but it's also really funny and not too heavy." Remember The Audio is sophisticated pop for now people, and a new high-water mark in Monkey House's musical journey

oice of the ZOMBIES & some of the most memorable solo LP’s in pop history with a 2012 CD that proves THE VOICE is as good now as it was back then! Colin Blunstone, the voice of some of the most memorable songs in pop history, adds to his extraordinary heritage with the release of his 2012 studio album: ‘On The Air Tonight’. It's the 11th solo studio set by one of Britain’s greatest vocal stylists, in a career that has had fantastic new momentum in recent years. From media, fans and fellow musicians alike, there’s now fresh appreciation all over the world for Colin’s work in his own name, as guest vocalist with countless other artists such as: Alan Parsons and Mike Batt, and for his legacy with the legendary 60’s group, the ZOMBIES. Now the man whose unmistakable tones are on: ‘She’s Not There’, ‘Time Of The Season’, ‘Old & Wise’, ‘Say You Don't Mind’, ‘I Don't Believe In Miracles’ and so many more, is set to add another chapter to his illustrious recording history. Produced by Jon Sweet and recorded at studios in Norfolk, Wales, West Sussex and Dorset, ‘On The Air Tonight’ is a collection of new compositions by Blunstone and other writers, seasoned with some well-chosen revivals. It features two superior solo compositions by Blunstone, another co-write and an elegant reappraisal of: ‘Though You Are Far Away’, first recorded on his much-loved 1971 debut solo album for Epic records: ‘One Year’. Two further tunes come from the impressive South Wales soft-rock trio: the SONIC EXECUTIVES, and Blunstone pays tribute to two late and great British musicians who were friends of his: Pete Bardens (who played keyboards for CAMEL) wrote the title track for this album, as well as the opener: ‘Turn Your Heart Around’, and the incredible Duncan Browne, who’s composition: ‘Wild Places’ is covered. As the ultimate surprise: ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’ is co-written by Spice Girl Melanie C! “About half the songs were recorded with the band all playing live at the same time, at the studio in Norfolk,” says Colin. “I sang the vocals live as well and we've kept those.” The core band on the new album is: Tom Toomey, the extraordinary guitarist from Blunstone’s excellent live band and of recent ZOMBIES tours, the equally proficient Pete Billington on keyboards, plus bassist Chris Childs and drummer Pat Illingworth, whose collective credits also include the ZOMBIES, plus Andy Summers, Paul Young, Alison Moyet and Kid Creole.
